Who looks after your data

AMPTRON decides how your personal data is collected and used. The law calls this role the “data controller”.

What we collect

When you order or ask for a quote, we get the details below. You may send them through the website, LINE or email.

• Your name and phone number
• Your email
• Your delivery address
• The products you want

If you create an account, we also keep your name, phone number, email and password (the password is stored encrypted, so our team cannot read it), the date and time you accepted this policy, and the history of orders you place while signed in.

If you call or chat with us on LINE, we see your phone number, your LINE account name and the messages you send. We use this only to answer you.

Your browser also keeps your cart, your language and your cookie choice on your own device. That data stays with you. We do not receive it.

Member accounts

An account is optional. You can order without one. If you create one, we use the account details so you can sign in, see your order history and status, and have your delivery details filled in for you.

You manage your own data on the “My account” page.

When you delete your account, we delete the name, phone number, email and password stored in it. We still have to keep past orders under accounting and tax law, but they are no longer linked to your account.

• Answer questions and prepare quotes
• Take and ship orders
• Support you after the sale and handle calibration work
• Meet legal duties

If you accept analytics cookies, we also look at how people use the site so we can improve it. We do not use your data for anything else. If we want to use it for a new purpose, we will ask you first.

Our legal reasons

The law lets us collect and use data only with a valid reason. We rely on four.

• Your consent, for example for analytics cookies
• A contract, for example when you order and we must deliver
• A legal duty, for example accounting and tax records
• Our legitimate interest, for example answering you and following up on your quote request

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies

Necessary cookies remember your cart, language and cookie choice. This data stays in your browser.

We use analytics cookies only if you press “Accept all”. To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser and choose again.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

Other sites and services this site connects to

Parts of this site come from outside providers. When you open or click them, the provider may receive some of your data, such as your IP address, and keeps it under its own policy.

• The Google Maps map at the bottom of the page loads from Google when you open the page
• LINE, when you press the chat, add-friend or share buttons
• Google Drive, when you press a catalogue download

The fonts on this site are stored on our own server, so we do not load them from Google.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only when the work needs it, with

• Delivery companies
• Payment providers
• LINE

We also share it with authorities when the law requires.

Some providers store data on servers outside Thailand. We use them only as far as needed to serve you.

How long we keep it

We keep your data as long as we need it for the reasons above and as long as the law requires, for example for accounting and tax records.

When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it impossible to identify you.

How we keep it safe

We limit access to the people who need your data for their work, and we run the website over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

No system is 100% safe. If your data leaks in a way that could affect your rights, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can

• Ask to see or copy your data
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Ask us to stop using it, or object to how we use it
• Ask us to move it elsewhere
• Withdraw your consent at any time

Send your request through the contact details below. We reply within 30 days. We may ask for a little more information to confirm who you are.

If you think we broke the law, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee Office.

Children

This site is made for businesses and adults. We do not mean to collect data from children. If you are a parent and find that a child sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
